This good old-fashioned Western, set during the Civil War era, features a band of heroic freedom fighters working under a secret commission from Gen. William T. Sherman to help end the bloody conflict. Headed by ranger Ezra Justice, who enlists ex-slave Nathaniel York, explosives experts Roberto and Carlos Hawkins, Native American Harry Whitecloud, colorful Irish immigrant Shaun O'Banyon, and English marksman Reginald Bonesteel, the Justice Riders risk their lives to carry out their dangerous assignments. Along the way, they form a lasting brotherhood that promises to see them through the war and beyond. Readers who enjoy the fiction of Louis L'Amour will appreciate this fast-paced adventure tale of the Old West. Recommended. Actor Norris makes his home in Dallas. (c) Copyright 2010.
