Since men in general, and black men in particular, tend to avoid medical care unless they are seriously ill, this authoritative and clearly written book is well targeted to its audience and deserves their attention. The lifesaving advice offered here is interspersed with real-life case studies, and each chapter has suggested reading lists and resources for further information.
